It is with a deep sense of disappointment that we announce today the cancellation of the remaining concerts of Celine Dion’s “Courage World Tour” European tour in 2023 and 2024. Whilst the world has emerged from the pandemic, Celine is continuing her treatment to recover from the illness that is currently preventing her from returning to the stage. Celine is working hard on her recovery, but at present she is unable to carry out the preparations and complete the remainder of the tour, which was due to run from 26 August 2023 in Amsterdam to 4 October 2023 in Helsinki, with six concerts at Paris La Défense Arena on 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 and 10 September, before resuming from 6 March 2024 in Prague until 22 April 2024 in London. We have real hope that one day soon, Celine will be able to return to all these cities across Europe to perform for her incredible fans, but this is simply not the right time.
“I am so sorry to let you all down once again. I am working very hard to regain my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you are 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s better that we cancel everything now, until I’m truly ready to get back on stage. I want you all to know that I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” said Celine.
Celine had performed at 52 venues across North America as part of her “Courage World Tour”, before the tour was put on hold in March 2020 due to the pandemic. In early 2021, whilst the entertainment industry was still operating under strict COVID restrictions, Celine starred in her first feature film, *Love Again*, alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan. Celine then announced that she was suffering from a rare condition known as Stiff Person’s Syndrome, which causes acute and continuous muscle spasms and prevents her from performing on stage. Celine’s medical team is monitoring the progression of the condition and her treatment.
Tickets purchased for the 42 cancelled dates will be refunded.
